pilgrim - someone who goes on a long, long journey
cargo - the goods transported in a ship, airplane, or vehicle
passenger - a person riding in or on a vehicle
blacksmith - a worker who shapes iron (as into horseshoes) by heating it and then hammering it on an iron block
cooper - a worker who makes or repairs wooden casks, tubs, or barrels
hardtack - hard, dry biscuits
braziers - metal boxes that the Pilgrims used to build charcoal fires in aboard the Mayflower
psalms - religious songs
shallop - a small boat used to travel between land and a larger ship
salt horse - salted beef, pork, or fish
